For the year from September 2017 to July 2018, Strathmore Infant and Nursery School will offer the 15 hours FREE Nursery education, between 08:45 and 11:45 Monday to Friday, term-time only. There are 40 places available. This is open to children whose fourth birthday falls between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018.
Additional Care Sessions
Additionally, we are able to offer a Nursery Lunch Club, between 11:45 and 12:45 on days when the Nursery is open. This is a chargeable provision, at a cost of £3.50 per session. Children should bring a packed lunch from home, or a school meal may be purchased at an extra cost of £2.30 each. All sessions and meals have to be ordered in advance – please note that Nursery aged children are not eligible for Free School Meals.
Breakfast Club is now offered to children in the Nursery. This is a chargeable provision, open from 08:00 to the start of the Nursery session. Cost per day is £4.50, which includes breakfast and supervised transfer to the Nursery class.
Strathmore Pre-School is a separate setting, run on the school site. The Pre-School is able to offer a limited number of places for afternoon care – please contact the Pre-School Leader, Diane Grazette, for details of availability and funding: 07953 742755.
Nursery Class Admissions
Up to 40 children are admitted in September each year. Subject to place availability, casual admissions occur throughout the year for families who have moved into the area. Places are allocated in accordance with Hertordshire County Council’s admissions criteria.
