As you may have seen in the press, the government make additional funds available to schools in respect of those children who are eligible for free school meals and for children who have been eligible for free school meals in the last 6 years. Additional money is also given to schools for children who are looked
after and children whose parents are in the armed forces. This money is known as ‘The Pupil Premium’.
