Welcome to Ash class if you have any questions please feel free to speak to a member of staff at the beginning or end of the day.

Our P.E lessons are on a Monday morning and a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure P.E kits are at school on these days. Our library day is on a Tuesday.

We use the outside area as our second classroom so please make sure children bring suitable clothing for the weather as they will be outside whatever the weather. If possible please leave wellies (named) in school as we have a digging area, water wall and mud kitchen that children have daily access to.

Our week

WC: 3.7

Another busy week. The children particulary enjoyed international mud day! Not only did we have lots of fun we also learnt lots and got to practice our writing. Please take a look at the photos above.

This week we will be learning all about worms as we will be reading 'yucky worms' we have added the video below so you can watch it with your child if you would like. The children will be making their very own worms, as well as writing key facts that they have learnt about their jobs, habitat and appearance. On Thursday the children will be learning a poem all about worms and using musical instruments to play alongside this.

On Monday afternoon we will have a special visit from the nurse to talk about the importance of brushing your teeth.

Our maths lessons will focus on patterns. The children will be identifying and continuing patterns as well as making their very own.

Please note a letter will be coming home this week about our end of year reception summer beach party! So please look out for it.

3D Shapes I Know (solid shapes song- including sphere, cylinder, cube, cone, and pyramid)

3D Shapes I Know (new pyramid version) This version includes only ONE chorus at a time, whereas the old version used to do 2 at a time. I didn't like that the old one felt too long each time. I've also included a section about "a pyramid" now.
