Hello and welcome to the Maple class webpage.
PE is on Mondays and Thursdays.
Please make sure your child has plain dark shorts, a white T-shirt and a pair of plimsolls. In the colder weather jogging bottoms should be included for when we are a doing PE outside.
We visit the school library on a Friday.
Your child can choose either a fiction or non-fiction book to take home. Please encourage your child to share their book with you at home and return it to school the following Friday to be changed.
Show and tell is on a Monday
Homework:
Is given out on Friday in a folder. It needs to be completed by the following Thursday at the latest, returned in the folder and placed in the green tray which is located next to the reading record tray.
Forest Schools:
Happens fortnightly on Monday afternoon in Maple class. Your child will need a change of clothes that you don't mind getting muddy, a pair of wellies or old trainers, a waterproof coat and a spare bag for dirty boots, all of which needs to be in a bag on your child's peg.
Forest Schools
We went on a leaf hunt during our first Forest School session. We then used the leaves to create pictures of animals.
A big thank you for all the "Autumn Plates" that we received. We enjoyed sharing them and we think they look great!
Harvest-time
We have been talking about harvest-time and looking at different types of apples.
In art the children wrapped an apple shaped piece of card with wool. Some found this very tricky!
But we think they look great - good enough to eat!!!
Feeling Good Week.......
Happy Monday started with a boogie to Pharrell Williams - Happy.

Smoothie Tuesday.
We made a healthy smoothie in class. We called it "Thinking of Summer".
Not all of us liked it but we tried it.
For those of you who want to make it at home, or want to try "Popeye special" - the recipes have been attached.
Calm, Zentangle Wednesday.
We settled down to creating Zentangles. This Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. It increases focus and creativity with an increased sense of personal well being.
