FOSSA
What is FOSSA / Friends of Strathmore School Association?
If you are new to Strathmore Infant & Nursery School, FOSSA is the parent teacher association by another name. But you don’t have to be a parent to get involved – carers, grandparents and friends of the school can join in too.
Across the year we organise a number of events and activities for the children and their families to enjoy. Our largest event of the year is Fireworks & Bonfire Night, but we also have discos, quizzes, cinema nights, paint and sip, picnics and our Second-Hand Uniform Stall to name but a few!
ALL profit raised at these events is ploughed back into the school to contribute towards the cost of improved facilities and activity days for the children - FOSSA has funded workshops, eg. visiting author days, and new equipment for the playground areas.
We really appreciate new parents/carers getting involved and suggesting exciting new ways of raising funds, so please pop along to a meeting, check out our Facebook page and Noticeboards, volunteer to help at an event (every hour counts) and, most importantly of all, come along to these events and have some fun!
