What a wonderful first full week in year 2!
Announcements
As a reminder children should have waterproofs and wellies in school as we go out in all weather.
This term Y2 will be partaking in Outdoor Learning (Previously referred to as Forest School) every Tuesday morning and PE every Thursday Afternoon so please send your child to school dressed appropriately!
English
We read the book 'The Frog and The Stranger' by Max Velthuijs and learnt how to make inferences about the characters using the available information. We also began to write multiclause sentences using the conjunctions and, but and so.
Maths
We have been looking at the place value of 2-digit numbers and recognising our tens and ones by building numbers using various practical resources and looking at pictorial representations.
