Weekly Blog Nursery

Week Commencing 8th September 2025

This week we welcomed the children into Nursery for the first time. They all did a fantastic job of coming in and putting their coats and water bottles away. We have spent lots of time this week talking about the new routines in Nursery including how to tidy up, where to find the toilets and where to wash our hands.

We shared the book Nursery Time which talked about different activities we might do and we looked for the same activities and areas in our classroom.

Next week we will be continuing to become familiar with our new environment. We will be talking about the outside areas and how to use our new toys safely.

We will be singing lots of nursery rhymes and counting songs including wind the bobbin up, 1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive and row, row, row your boat.

If your child has not bought in wellies yet please could you bring in a named pair that they can keep at school.

Please could the children bring in a picture of themselves or email one to the office by Friday 19th September. Thank you to the families who have sent one in already.
