We’ve had a very busy week in Nursery.

On Wednesday afternoon we had a visit from the police to talk about their jobs. They showed us their uniforms and police truck.

We have also been using our early reading skills to recognise shop signs that you might find in Hitchin.  Next week we will be sending the signs home so that you can look out for them. When you go into town.

We have used our signs to make box shops for our small world play.

We have been enjoying our dentists role play where we have been cleaning pretend teeth and exploring how dentists use their mirror to look at teeth.

In phonics we have been singing Pat a cake. We talked about using our voice to sing in a loud voice, a quiet voice and our normal voices. Our sound of the week was “o” we listened to the o sound in octopus, otter and ostrich. We also talked about if we had any friends with names that begin with o.
